I launched my website. Here's what that really means (and how you can to)

Launching a website sounds like a huge dramatic moment. I built this website with the though of how do I introduce myself to the world. I am a blogger and into the written word so I decided to try to include that part of me. This website was originally supposed to be a portfolio that I was creating to network for jobs. I kept the same concept in my mind by leaving my resume pined in the icon on the top of the site. Because I have already decided my targeted customer and whom I would like to allow into my happy space.

Back to the subject of this blog post I always considered launching a website or new business to be a major thing dramatic even. fireworks, confetti, and instant success. In reality? A launch is less about perfection and more about intention, readiness and momentum.

When I decided to launch my website, I had to redefine what "Launching" actually meant to me. Not just pressing publish, creating and building a space that felt aligned, functional and ready to grow with me.

If you are building something of your own, here's what I think about launching and how you can make it exciting and not to overwhelming.

How do you know you are ready to launch?

Not feeling 100% but still publishing and making your website active is considered a launch even if your not ready. There will always be something you would want to edit and another page you want to add but taking your time is the most important thing you can do. Making sure every picture is perfect with good lighting a wonderful background, and making sure every sentence has the perfect grammar and makes the perfect sense. All though my site is active I don't feel like it's a launch. I call it building momentum. It mean it's ready enough to be seen.

Some people consider a launch is when you have the main pages live Home, about, welcome, shop/blog and contact available. But is that really what a launch is?

Everything works links, checkout, emails and sign up etc....

When the message is clear and it is evolving

I am proud enough at this point to share the link and put my website into rotation

My website was ready yesterday so I am calling mine an introduction. Growth will come soon enough.

WHAT LAUNCHING ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE or what it seems like it would look like.

This is the Black Karrie Bradshaw coming to you live from my newly launched website. Feel free to browse and click all of my buttons and icons. So we can get further acquainted. If there is any way you can comment like and share please do. Let's get to know each other and since I'm new to this my social media is not available in the links because this do sometimes get a little stressful. When it do I just put the computer down or whatever device I decided to work from and take a walk, have a snack or watch my favorite show. Until next time this is One to grow on and so on.
